The healthy flavours of Andalusia
Andalusia embodies the classic image of Spain to the fullest, from the flamenco dancing and bullfighting to the hectic nightlife and ancient architecture. Andalusia also boasts many delicious foods, offering us a chance to stimulate our palates and the best is that the major protagonist of the andalusian cuisine is seafood. With five coastal provinces, the consumption of fish and shellfish is rather high: white shrimp from the Bay of Cádiz, prawns, murex, anchovies, baby squid, cuttlefish, “bocas de la Isla”, a dish found in San Fernando that uses a local crab that can regenerate its claw, flounder, smelts. The golden age of the Costa del Sol
In the 50’s, especially 60’s and 70’s the Malaga Costa del Sol experienced a tourist boom without precedent. Foreign exchange and currency came as fresh air in the country: the phenomenon of tourism exceeded the purely economic to encompass other aspects-social, cultural, artistic, ideological, at that time insufficiently explored. Spanish films dedicated to the Costa del Sol at the time we use to reconstruct the landscape of a golden age and were made on the basis of topics: sun, beach, sangria, flamenco and paella. Topics were undoubtedly very real, but they did not portray at all cosmopolitanism, tolerance, fun and zest for life that summed up the true spirit of the coast. And the star on the sky was and always will be a town: Torremolinos. A fishing village converted from one day to another to a synonymum of celebration, freedom […]

Christmas tree history
The first Christmas tree has a long association with Christianity, it began in Germany almost 1,000 years ago when St Boniface, who converted the German people to Christians, was said to have come across a group of pagans worshipping an oak tree. But it was not until the 16th century that fir trees were brought indoors at Christmas time. Until about 1700, the […]
