Follow the King’s steps- A Tour inaugurated by the King Alfonso XIII in 1921.

El Caminito del Rey, trail less than a meter wide, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge El Chorro, near Álora in the province of Málaga finally opens its doors to the public on March 28. The entrance will be for free during the first months.

The famous King’s little pathway has been closed for 25 years and has become one of “the most famous in the world”. Visitors who will visit Caminito del Rey can book a ticket as of today on the website www.caminitodelrey.info. Each person will be able to book up to five passes 2 months in advance to visit.

The visit can perform about 600 people each day. The length of the trail is 7,7 km. The tour takes about 4 -5 hours and it’s linear not circular. So the visitors should bear in mind that they have got to get back to the entry point. Visiting hours will be 10am to 2pm during the winter months and in summer the pathway will be open until 5pm except Mondays when the path will close for maintenance.
