This new production of Grease, the musical was presented in November 2011 in Barcelona completely renovated to mark the 40th anniversary of its Broadway opening, and features 40 artists, singers, dancers and musicians on stage. In addition there have been included eight new musical numbers that were left out of the film and that did appear in the script of the original musical. The premiere date of the musical is February 6 and the show can be seen until February 10 at the Theater Cervantes.

The former assembly (Grease, the musical of your life) was the most watched show of the season 2006/2007 in Barcelona and reached more than 700,000 viewers in its subsequent tour. It is the longest running show in the lineup in Spain.
