Opportunity to experience and learn for free about new technologies in Benidorm
Maybe some of you who are in Benidorm these days have already noticed that, as from last Tuesday 26th, there is a sort of tent which was set up on the Bilbao Avenue (between the Mediterráneo Avenue and the seafront, in the nearness of the city centre).
It is the ‘Tecnorrevolución’ (Tecno-revolution) temporary exhibition, which will be available until April 13th. It intends to give an approach to converging technologies, such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and cognitive sciences and neurosciences (NBIC), and how these improve our lives.
To prove these technologies’ uses and advantages in different areas like health, education, agriculture, textile or art, Obra Social La Caixa, in collaboration with Benidorm’s City Hall, offers diverse experiments and tools for the visitor to see, try and have fun.
The exhibition is open from Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 1.30pm and between 4pm and 9pm, and on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, from 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm. Free entrance. There are guided tours for groups available at 7pm from Monday to Friday, and at 12.30pm and 7pm on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
