Orihuela’s Medieval Market this weekend
The time for the celebration of the largest Medieval Market in Spain is approaching. This year it will take place between 1st and 3rd February in Orihuela, Alicante.
The Medieval Market of Orihuela is an event that attracts a great amount of visitors every year, as it is quite colourful and offers great shows and activities for all ages, especially for children. It is an ideal plan for the family or to go with friends.
Every year there are farm animals and birds of prey exhibitions, and games for children. Among the market stalls, we will be able to find books, decorative objects, products made of wood, leather, medieval clothing, imitation jewelry, tipical toys from medieval times for children, body hygiene products…
And, for when hunger lurks, we will be able to find delicious homemade products such as cakes, breads, cheese or charcuterie, or Arabic ‘tearooms’ and establishments which offer barbecue.
Besides, it is an ideal occasion to visit for free the house where the Spanish writer and poet Miguel Hernández was raised.
Below you may find the organized activities that we believe that may be interesting. Every day there will be:
