Fallas in Benidorm 2016
The Fallas are the city of Valencia’s main fiestas, although they are also celebrated in other cities and towns of the Valencian Community. Benidorm, its touristic capital, has been hosting them for over 30 years, when groups of Valencians created the first Fallas Committee in the town. Every 15th of March the Plantà takes place in Benidorm. These are the public exhibitions of the Mayor and Infant monuments of the city’s 3 Fallas Committees, meaning a total of 6 Fallas. Starting from Monday 7th of September 2015 until Sunday 13th Benidorm will once again be hosting the Gay Pride Celebrations, now in its fifth year. It is organized by the Benidorm Gay Business Association together with the Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals Association of Benidorm. FIFTH APRIL FAIR IN BENIDORM
From the 20th until the 26th of April Benidorm will be holding the April Fair. This fair celebrates the traditions of Seville, Andalucía. The fair takes place in various bars and restaurants throughout the town and these will be traditionally decorated and playing traditional music. Low Cost Festival 2014
The annual Low Cost Festival will take place from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th of July at the Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor in Benidorm. Now in its sixth year this successful Rock, Pop, Indie and Electronic music festival has a great line-up, with 80 artists headed by Massive Attack, Kaiser Chiefs, The Hives, Editors and Palma Violets. It has also been confirmed that Benidorm will remain the host city until at least 2020. Water Fun On The Costa Blanca
Aqualandia, one of Benidorm’s most popular theme parks (there are 5 in total!), will be opening soon, on Saturday 23th May 2015 at 10am. It was the first water park to be opened in Spain, founded in 1985 on the Sierra Helada hills. It features different leisure areas surrounded by natural and landscaped areas.
